Services

Three service areas, one engineering standard.

Every engagement — whether it's a full app build, a custom internal tool, or a two-week architecture review — gets the same attention to maintainability, testing, and craftsmanship.

01 — Android

Android App Development

We build native Android applications from the ground up using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, following modern MVVM / Clean Architecture patterns. That means an app that's not just functional at launch, but easy to extend, test, and maintain for years afterward.

We handle the entire lifecycle: product scoping, UI/UX in Compose with Material Design, offline-first data layers, automated testing, and the full Play Store publishing process — store listing copy, data safety disclosures, staged rollouts, and release management.

What's included

  • Kotlin & Jetpack Compose UI, Material Design 3
  • MVVM / Clean Architecture, dependency injection (Hilt)
  • Coroutines & Flow for async and reactive data
  • Room, local persistence, and offline-first design
  • Unit, instrumentation, and Compose UI testing
  • Play Store submission, listing assets, and staged rollout
  • Post-launch support, monitoring, and iteration

Good fit if…

  • You have a mobile product idea or existing codebase
  • You need a professional, maintainable app architecture
  • You want comprehensive testing and Play Store expertise
  • You're launching something that needs to scale or evolve
  • You want a partner who stays involved after launch

Engagement models

  • Fixed-scope projects: MVP or complete rewrite with clear deliverables and timeline.
  • Ongoing retainer: Continuous support, new features, and maintenance work.
  • Extended engagement: Full-time capacity for 3–6 months to establish architecture and handoff.

02 — Custom Software

Custom Software Development

Not every problem fits an off-the-shelf product. When your workflow needs a purpose-built tool — an internal dashboard, a data pipeline, an integration between two systems that were never meant to talk to each other — we design and build it to fit exactly how your team works.

We favor boring, reliable technology choices over trendy ones, clear documentation over tribal knowledge, and automated tests over "it worked on my machine." The goal is software your team can maintain without us.

What's included

  • Internal tools and workflow automation
  • REST/GraphQL APIs and backend services
  • Data pipelines, imports, and third-party integrations
  • Database design and migration planning
  • Deployment automation and infrastructure setup
  • Documentation handed off with the codebase

Good fit if…

  • You have a specific workflow problem no vendor tool solves
  • You need better integration between existing systems
  • Your team expects to maintain and extend the software in-house
  • You want clean code and real documentation, not shortcuts
  • You plan a phased rollout or ongoing feature iteration

Engagement models

  • Fixed-scope projects: Well-defined tools with clear success criteria.
  • Time & materials: Iterative development when requirements evolve.
  • Technical advisory: Design reviews and architecture guidance alongside your team.

03 — Consulting

Consulting & Freelancing

Sometimes what a project needs isn't a full build — it's an outside, experienced perspective. We offer short- and medium-term engagements for teams that want an architecture review before a big scaling decision, a CI/CD pipeline that doesn't fight them, or a technical advisor for a specific milestone.

Engagements are scoped clearly up front: a fixed-length audit, a defined deliverable, or an ongoing advisory arrangement — whatever matches how your team likes to work.

What's included

  • Architecture and code review
  • CI/CD pipeline design and build optimization
  • Technical due diligence and audits
  • Engineering process and tooling advisory
  • Short-term freelance development capacity
  • Fractional / advisory technical guidance

Good fit if…

  • You're at a milestone — pre-launch, scaling, or platform migration
  • Your team lacks specific expertise (Android, infrastructure, testing)
  • You want an outside opinion before making an expensive decision
  • You need short-term capacity to unblock a project
  • You're evaluating potential technical partners or acquisitions

Engagement models

  • Hourly consulting: Per-hour rate for code reviews, audits, or advisory calls.
  • Fixed audits: Scoped review (1–2 weeks) with a final report and recommendations.
  • Retainer advisory: Ongoing monthly access for architecture guidance and design feedback.

Common Questions

FAQ

How long does an MVP take?

Most Android MVPs take 8–16 weeks depending on scope. Custom software typically runs 4–12 weeks. We scope project length up front and track to it. Consulting engagements are usually 1–6 weeks.

Who owns the code?

You do. Full intellectual property transfer to the client upon final payment is standard. We retain no claims on any deliverable code, architecture, or assets. We're happy to sign additional IP agreements.

How does billing work?

Fixed-scope projects use a project fee with milestone-based invoicing. Time & materials work invoices weekly. Retainers bill monthly in advance. We discuss rates, terms, and payment schedules early so there are no surprises.

Do you maintain apps after launch?

Yes, on a retainer or hourly basis. Many clients keep us on retainer for ongoing support, feature work, and Play Store release management. It's optional — you can take it over yourself if you prefer.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Absolutely. We regularly join projects mid-way, review codebases for technical debt, and migrate apps to new architectures. We'll do a brief audit to understand scope and set expectations.

Do you work remotely?

Yes, we're fully remote. We're based in the US East Coast (EST) and available for synchronous work during standard business hours. Time zone overlap is straightforward for most US-based teams.
